About us

Nozawa-Onsen ski resort is ranked as one of Japan’s top ski resorts in size, history and snowfall. 100% natural high quality snow—often very dry powder—makes skiing possible well into May. With its variety of slopes and courses, Nozawa-Onsen Ski Resort is suitable for everyone from advanced to beginners and families, both skiers and snowboarders.

Nozawa-Onsen is also a popular hot-spring health resort thanks to efforts in environmental improvement and other areas. There are thirteen atmospheric public bathhouses called "Soto-yu", and visitors can sample several of them on a relaxing Onsen pilgrimage.

Nozawa-Onsen is home town of 15 Olympians including 1 gold medalist at 1992 Albertville, Mr. Kono Takanori. Olympic medals and equipment used by athletes are displayed at The Ski Museum close to Hikage slope.
